Residents in Grantham, Bingham, Sedgebrook, and Barrowby Gate will soon benefit from enhanced public transport links as Central Connect (Vectare) introduces an improved and extended Service 93, effective March 31, 2025.

The upgraded route will now extend beyond Bingham to Nottingham, providing hourly services and increasing daily journeys from 7 to 13—a significant boost to connectivity for local communities.

This service expansion offers greater travel options at a lower cost, with a £6 return fare to Nottingham under the national £3 fare cap. While the train remains a faster alternative at 35 minutes, a day return currently costs £12.70—more than double the bus fare. The first departure from Grantham to Nottingham is at 06:35, with the final return from Nottingham at 17:20.

Backed by Lincolnshire and Leicestershire councils for the first 12 months, this initiative aims to establish a sustainable and commercially viable route, improving accessibility and affordability for commuters, students, and leisure travelers alike.
