It’s that time of year – we’ve just received an application for the road closures for the annual Mid Lent Fair. Below are the details and if you have any comments please let me know.

Application:

Annual chartered Mid Lent Fair in the open streets of Grantham which has been held in
this area for several hundred years. fair rides and attractions are on the public open highway and will arrive immediately
after the closure of the weekly chartered Saturday market and overnight between the hours of 16:00 and 02:00. The fair
is open to the general public for 4 days. This requires the closure of roads and suspension of parking bays to facilitate
safety. All businesses, residents and taxi operators will be notified in writing 6 weeks in advance and all communication
will be via SKDC website and social media.
